#DisconnectTheAbuse: India’s 1st Internet Hotline is Now Live

This week, Prerana’s Aarambh India Initiative in collaboration with Internet Watch Foundation launched www.aarambhindia.org/report – India’s 1st Internet Hotline where you can report and help take down sexually explicit images & videos of children from the public Internet.
The hotline was inaugurated by Ms. Maneka Gandhi, Hon. Minister of Women & Child &Ms. Stuti Kacker, Hon. Chairperson of the National Commission for the Protection of Children.
“We should aim to put together an all India alliance for child online safety and ensure that the aarambh India hotline, POSCO e-box and Childline work together,” said the Minister.
Since the launch, the response has been terrific. The hotline has been covered extensively across print & online media. And the support & encouragement we have received from government, industry, civil society, parents and even children themselves has been overwhelming.
The hotline is a simple 5 step form form (in Hindi & English) that you can use to anonymously report child sexual abuse content on the internet.
