An Announcement: The Aarambh India Initiative’s Transition

In 2013, Prerana & The ADM Capital Foundation partnered to incubate Aarambh India, an initiative to extend their work on the issue of sexual offences against children. True to its name, Aarambh India was a beginning of sorts. Over the years, it has worked and contributed consistently to its goal of strengthening systems working for protection of child victims of sexual offences in India.

We have decided that the time has come for The Aarambh India Initiative to evolve from a partnership anchored by two organizations and transition to independence.

This transition is being executed in coordination with all parties. Some of the erstwhile team members will be part of the new entity as it consolidates into an independent unit. We wish them the best of luck.

* What this means:

1) The work: We continue to take on new on ground cases. The online reporting portal & resource center continues to be live. The training of organizations & institutions across India remains ongoing & expanding.
2) The team: Some of the erstwhile team members remain with the new entity.
3) What changes: New projects, new field areas, new members of the team & a new way of doing things.
4) What doesn’t change: Our vision of creating spaces where every child feels safe, respected and can thrive.
