[3 April 2020]The Coop: Street Children During Lockdown
We made two promises in our 1st edition
that it’s weekly & that it’s not going to talk about the pandemic
and we have already broken one. Welcome to the 2nd edition of The Coop.
Firstly, hoping you & the loved ones have been holding on. That you are finding whatever it is that you are looking for within you, among friends, across the internet or in the birdsong outside your window.
For this edition, we spoke to some of our friends who work with street children in Mumbai in an attempt to figure out how the children were coping with the lockdown. A serious gap in policy & action emerges and it goes all the way to the top.
Follow that up with a deep dive into the mental health toll that the lockdown may inflict on the minds of children across Indian society. And there is a timely assessment for you to participate in & the MWCD has an upcoming webinar (which should be starting right about now.)
